Return Policy

Please Note: This policy does NOT include customized or closeout items

The Sierra Club Apparel & Gear Store will gladly accept returns on unworn, unwashed merchandise for full refund or exchange, provided the return is received within 30 days of the date of delivery. Refunds, if applicable, will be issued upon receipt of the returned merchandise based on the form of original payment.

Please complete the return/exchange form that was enclosed with your order, which will expedite the processing of your request. If you do not have a return/exchange form, please include the following information with your return shipment:

  • Customer number and order number
  • Name and billing address of the person who placed the order
  • Valid email or telephone number
  • Original purchase price and approximate date of the order
  • Credit card information if additional payment is required

Please note the following:

  • Customized Items: All customized clothing sales are non-returnable, non-exchangeable, and non-refundable. In the event of a manufacturing defect or production/embroidery error, an exchange order will be created to replace the item. Please contact our customer service office at (800) 775-6401 for details.
  • Closeout Items: All closeout sales are non-returnable, non-exchangeable, and non-refundable. All sales are final.
  • Returns/exchanges/refunds are processed only when the original item is received at the The Sierra Club Apparel & Gear Store customer service office. Returns and refunds will be credited for the price of the merchandise and any taxes. This credit will not include any original shipping charge. However, if the return is due to an error we have made, we will gladly refund your return shipping costs (please contact Customer Service for more details). For your own protection we recommend that you use a recorded-delivery service when returning an item to The Sierra Club Apparel & Gear Store.
  • If you wish to expedite your exchange, you may request a new order be placed by calling Customer Service at (800) 775-6401. The Sierra Club Apparel & Gear Store will charge your credit card for the replacement item(s) and shipping costs. A refund for the original amount (less shipping) will be posted to your credit card when the returned item(s) are received by Customer Service.
  • As exchange orders are treated as a new order for an existing customer, additional shipping charges do apply. These charges will be posted using the original form of payment. Please consult our shipping table for pricing.
